On Monday 2 September, the UK Government announced the suspension of 30 arms licenses out of 350 export licenses to Israel, a testament to the determination and commitment of  campaigners like you over the past 11 months. But a partial suspension is insufficient given the clear and compelling evidence that the Israeli military is committing violations of international humanitarian law, including war crimes. Importantly, it excludes components used in F-35 fighter jets which have attacked so-called “safe zones” in Gaza.

Since the new UK Government came to power on 4 July:

• Israeli forces have killed over 3,600 Palestinians and injured more than 8,900.

• The Israeli military has attacked schools sheltering displaced people at least 27 times, killing more than 270 people.

• There have been at least 30 attacks on healthcare.

• 1.9 million people remain driven from their homes.

• The first case of polio has been confirmed in a 10-month-old baby.
